
The most popular way to the top of the hill is the Penang Hill Railway. Located at the foot of the hill, this Swiss-designed funicular starts out from Air Itam. Built in 1923, it is one of the world’s oldest funicular systems and has a 2,007m-long track that climbs the hill at a crawling 30-minute pace.

Beach

Is a beach resort northwest of Georgetown on Malaysia penang island.
Is known for water sport and seafood restaurant. Street food, household and batik clothing are sold at the sea front night market. Batik pieces are also on display at local gallery and shop.
Monkey Beach

Monkey Beach - Teluk Duyung
One of the best places to hang around in is Monkey Beach. Of course, there are other attractive beaches on the island, but if you're looking for privacy, this beach will be your best bet.
The beach is about 20 minutes ride by boat from Batu Ferringhi and 2 hour’s vigorous trek from Telok Bahang.
Kerachut Beach

Undisturbed, unspoilt and tranquility is what best to describe Pantai Kerachut. Located at the north-east of Penang Island along the Muka Head cape, it is one of six beaches in Penang National Park.

Pasir Panjang Beach

Pasir Panjang is locates on the southwestern tip of Penang Island. Not much people know about this tiny place, which simply means; Peace and Privacy.
The jungle trail to Pasir Panjang is isolated and beautiful, offering wide range of spectacular views and seascapes. It has gentle gradients and ambles through the orchards and rubber estates which border the coastline. There is an uninterrupted view of the Straits of Malacca to the left and accompany by the chirping of birds along many stretches.
Penang Bridge

Penang Bridge is a 13.5 kilometer suspension bridge that connects the island of Penang with the mainland. Being one of the longest Malaysian bridges and the sixth longest bridge in the Southeast Asian region, Penang Bridge is a prominent landmark that sees many visitors all throughout the years.
As of now, the Penang Bridge causeway is one of the busiest freeways in Malaysia and is only closed only once a year for the Penang Bridge International Marathon. The bridge provides excellent photography and sightseeing opportunities and is considered one of the most important tourist attractions in Penang.
Penang Butterfly Farm

Penang Butterfly Farm has a population of 4,000 live tropical butterflies from 120 different species, including some very rare and famous ones, like the Indian Leaf (Kallima Paralekta), the endangered Yellow Bird wing (Troides Helena) and the Rajah Brooke's Bird wing, arguably Malaysia's most famous butterflies.
Upon reaching the farm, a giant three horn rhino beetle statue sited on the man made rocks will greet and welcome you. Parking is FREE if you drive on your own.

Heritage Mosque

Constructed in 1801, Kapitan Keling Mosque is one of the most prominent landmarks on the island. The mosque was built by the first Indian Muslim East India Company troops. The Kapitan Keling Mosque is the largest in Georgetown and is quite a vision in the evenings.
The Kapitan Keling Mosque has a spacious prayer hall that has been decorated with Roman arches to create the illusion of depth and a sparkling chandelier on the ceiling.Officially known as the Masjid Lebuh Acheh, the Acheen Street Mosque is built in the Egyptian style and stands out from many of the other local mosques built in the Moorish style.
Penang State Museum and Art Gallery

Penang Peranakan Mansion

The building that houses the Pinang Peranakan Mansion was originally the home of Kapitan Chung Keng Kwee, leader of the Penang and Perak Hai San groups in the Larut Wars from 1860 to 1884.
Built at the end of the 19th century, the mansion is a typical representation of the
Straits Eclectic style of architecture – highly favoured by rich Peranakan families of old.
FORT CORNWALLIS

Fort Cornwallis is the largest existing fort in Malaysia and one of the oldest structures on Penang Island. Fort Cornwallis is found on the north-eastern coast of Penang.
The fort contains a selection of educational exhibits. Near the main entrance of the fort is a bronze statue of Captain Francis Light. The fort contains barracks, ammunition storage areas, a harbor light and prison ships along with the original Flagstaff.
